Silt Round-a-Butt

This round-a-bout in Silt, Colorado has been in
the national news lately because of the uproar created by the naked rock climber on one side of it. Today, Connie and I headed out to do "No Name" hike in Glenwood Canyon. It started pouring rain as we left Junction, but we kept driving since Glenwood is 1 1/2 hours away. By the time we were an hour from home it was not letting up so we decided to turn around. What better place to turn around than the now famous round-a-bout in Silt. I've only seen the view of this sculpture that features the hiker, butt finally got to see the rest of it today. Although as you probably know, I have nothing against hiking naked, the sculpture does look a bit odd this way. We were not the only people driving round and round and finally parking to take pictures. We saw another pair posing for the picture included here.

The good news is that when we got back to the valley, we were able to take a sunny hike near Palisade where this pictograph can be found.
